Pitch 100 Superwomen

I am excited to announce that I was selected to be a Pitch 100 Superwomen and on Tuesday 2nd July I celebrated with this 99 other Superwomen, Superwomen Alumni and special guests with a breakfast meeting at D&AD. The initiative celebrates Superwomen working behind the scenes in the creative industry and are nominated by industry peers. We have the ability to handle multiple tasks without sweating it. We are brave, take risks and get the job done. The room was filled with the most amazing and inspiring people so I am proud to have been selected and also happy that they allowed me to bring my 3 and half month year old daughter Amara-Leigh along to experience it.
The Keynote Speaker was the amazing Dame Cilla Snowball, Chair of the Women’s Business Council and Former Group CEO & Group Chair of AMV BBDO. Dame Cilla is also one of their Superwomen Ambassadors this year – a super champion of diversity and inclusion in the creative industry.
Heleana Blackwell, agency Strategist and co-founder of The New Work, hosted the panel talk with panelist Aimée Luther, Managing Director of Fortnight Collective London, Adrian Walcott, Managing Director of Brands with Values, Joce Capper, Creative Director of Cinelab London, Nene Parsotam, Executive Creative and Art Director of Vine Creatives and Co-founder of We Are Stripes, Toby Tomkins, founder of CHEAT and Ete Davies, Managing Director of AnalogFolk London and Co-founder of We Are Stripes.
Selected superwomen took to the stage, shared their stories and then all of the superwomen shared their superpower. I went up to the front to speak right after Amara-Leigh decided to throw up on me after being fed. Altogether it was a wonderful and inspiring morning.
